HVAC | New York Ferries

LeBlanc & Associates is proud to supply the HVAC systems for NYC Ferry Service’s newest high-speed aluminum catamaran passenger vessels, operated by Hornblower and built by Metal Shark in Franklin, Louisiana. Metal Shark previously built 150-passenger high speed ferries for the NYC Ferry system, which also featured HVAC systems by Leblanc & Associates.

The NYC Ferry service connects the New York boroughs of Manhattan, Brooklyn, Queens and the Bronx to provide critical transportation links for areas currently underserved by transit and connect them to job centers, tech hubs and schools in and around New York City.

HVAC Technology

Metal Shark has worked with LeBlanc & Associates on past projects and selected the company for this project to supply the HVAC equipment, consisting of six 3-ton direct expansion heat pump condensing units, eleven ceiling cassette fan coils serving the passenger space, and one ceiling cassette serving the pilothouse. The equipment is provided with a thermostat controlling the pilothouse and a centralized controller with 10” color touch screen for the passenger area.
